ROLE AND LEADERHSIP
Designing the system and managing the team.
I held a dual mandate: ship the product, and shape the conditions for fifteen specialists, researchers, UX designers, illustrators, animators to do their best work together.

Set the through-line
Rewrote the brief into one sentence the whole team could defend
Held the calendar
Ten weeks, three stakeholder reviews, zero death-march sprints.
Protected the work
Pushed back on scope creep so the final concept stayed legible.
THE CONTEXT
The human variable in geospatial logic.
Geospatial tools often prioritize data density over human decision-making. Inside food security crisis rooms, the gap between a pixel-perfect map and a field-actionable insight is where lives are compromised.
Deloitte tasked our SCADpro team with redefining how government agencies, each with competing priorities read the same terrain. My role was to manage that cognitive friction and turn a high-tech visualizer into a collaborative instrument

APPROACH
Scenario-based design
Instead of traditional wireframing, we designed tensions. We mapped the emotional state of a project manager when two critical data points contradict one another and then designed the interface around that tension, not around the data model.
12 stakeholder interviews across
4 agency types
3 day-in-the-life shadow sessions
7 comparative audit of existing geospatial tool
Synthesis workshop with the full team of 15

SOLUTION
Mapping the inevitable.
Three core scenario states form the heart of Sage. Each adjusts dynamically as resource conditions shift — less a dashboard, more a predictive engine for human behavior.

Stage 01
Pre-emptive routing under constrained yield.

Stage 02
Overlapping demand across competing agencies.

Stage 03
Post-event redistribution and replenishment.
